I visited a pub a few times in Oxforshire. It was a nice pub that I'd like to return to but I've forgotten completely where it is. All I can remember is that it's up a long dead end public road and it's surrounded by gorgeous houses. When you get to the end of the road it's on the right hand side.

Any clues?

You cannot even remember which part of Oxfordshire? Countryside? How far out of town?

The Falkland Arms at Great Tew? (Haven't been for years - can't remember if it's a dead-end road).

I think the Trout is on the river at Wolvercote.

I did lose you for a moment there but I have to say none of the above! The more I think about it the more I freak out that I can't even link it to a main road. My wife just looks at me blankly like I made it up!

Go to Google Maps, type in 'Pubs in Oxford' gives you a nice over view of the city.

One that closely matched it is 'The Fishes', appears to be down a private road with massive houses either side.

best of luck!
