That alone has been the fight between Muslims for centuries.....Mo's successor.
Yes, but the Kurds are mainly secular, and their big fight was with Sadam, whose Iraq was pretty much free of religious squabbles (I see him as a sort of Tony Soprano figure -- power was the thing, he didn't really care what religion, or sect, his supporters belonged to).

The rest of Iraq may well split on factional Muslim lines. But recent history seems to show that only an idiot takes on the Kurds in their own back yard.

Iraq & Kurdistan will soon be separate countries, and will probably fight each other once they have finished off the Sunni IS.
Why should they fight each other?
Iran, Iraq, and Turkey don't like the Kurds. It's a tribal thing.

Hallelujah, we agree again - once on Gaza & now on IS(lam) smile

Kurds get along well with Israel.

Looks like they've killed an American journalist. The one thing the American's are good at is revenge!

By beheading him. And filming it. st just got real.

The brave IS soldier (hiding behind a balaclava) committing the murder sounds like a Brit. frown

But the Kurds, God bless them, usually end up winning.

The news article said he was captured two years ago in Syria and I wonder if he was kept alive by ISIS, knowing full well that the US would one day attack them. If the execution was infact a UK national then I hope it strengthens the UKs resolve to dealing with this issue, which is one that they have done nothing about for a very long time and its time for change.

The only hope there is for the foreign jihadist,s is that they meet the same fate as the forgiven jihadist did in Iraq during the 2003 campaign.

Shameful and cowardly. The balaclava thing really shows them for what they are.

As a British Arab these things do really make my piss boil. ISIS are murdering barbarians who do need to be stopped at all costs. What's more shocking is that it seems the executioner is of British origin.

I do feel we must not forget that the barbarians like the executioner in the video are far right wackos and we can not tar everyone with the same brush. Over the years i have seen a change to peoples attitude to Muslim folk and to be fair, a few of them do not paint them selves in a good light. However, i do feel that causing tension to young British muslims would just add fuel to the fire.

After a certain amount of hostility it would take one religious nut job to sway young vulnerable mind to ISIS mentality. I do feel monitored education at a young age is needed for young British Muslims in vulnerable areas. Saying that the vast majority of British Muslims just want to get their head down and get on with life as much as everyone else.

The issue does need to be addressed and quite urgently.

This is my view anyway.

Its almost as if they think they are going to play COD in the desert! With no religious basis (we are told) and no direct connection to the events out there, plus no personal hardship to invoke such feelings of hate, what is the basis of their evil?

But what good is that? If they arrest him on his return he will just end up getting compensation like Moazzam Begg.

Begg didn't chop someones head off and got compensation because our government was complicit in his torture. If we can identify who this executioner is and he comes back to the UK, I doubt very much he'll be treated in the same way as Begg was.

Begg is a real angel, currently awaiting trial for "terror offences related to Syria".
