You need to be fully qualified to take pictures or video for commercial use eg taking a pic of your house and using the pic to advertise your house as forsale or getting paid for aerial work, however........What a lot of people don't know is that as soon as you put a camera on one of these things it becomes a "surveillance aircraft".
You will need to obey the rules of the Air Navigation Order to comply with the CAA.
Read up on it and fly safely.
ETA: So you don't need a licence if it's for hobby use but you do need to obey the ANO.
