Nope, bot fly larvae. Most people kill them first by putting duct tape over the hole to starve them of air. They are rather tricky bugger to extract when still alive.

I don't think the gif is a bot fly, they look nothing like those on the youtube vid. The bot fly makes a much bigger and more inflamed wound

The gif is quite clearly a special effect. The skin around the hole doesn't react like skin would, the hair is clearly fake, it's obvious!
