Buy him a drink and maybe he'll let you.

I'm back on the Tinder game, mainly due to boredom.

Haven't been on for a few months but got a few insta-matches, so I'll see what the deal is. Few lookers, few 'bubbly' types, few 18 y/o emo types.

Not been on this thread for a while, some posts didn't disappoint.

So the girl I've been dating comes back from Australia on Friday. She told me while were away for a weekend up north she was going over for 2 months to visit her family etc.

See how this goes. She did make all the noises that she didn't want it to get in the way. Told me straight she was going and that she didn't want it to get in the way/she isn't going over for "travelling" and isn't interested in meeting lots of guys, absence can make the heart grow fonder and it could be a good thing.

So I went with it, quite like her so said that I'm not going to bolt just because she's away to Oz for 2 months, it's only 2 months. She's 20 and should be doing stuff with her summer during Uni, it's one thing I wish I'd done (still can go do travelling, never too old).
Obviously the absence thing is a double edged sword. It can help or they can get bored and really the question is asked of the person who is away more than the one at home.

Spoke to her a bit while she's away. Just what she was up to, how much she loved it there, how my holiday was going etc. More at the start, less so in the past 3 weeks once I came back from my holiday with the guys but I'm not going to be Mr Clingy and read too much into that. Had the "I'll speak to you in a few hours" and not heard from her since (was nearly a couple weeks ago) but I'm not going to freak out over that. She isn't the chattiest person by text anyway (which means we have more to talk about in person) then add in the factor of being in Oz with lots to go and do, I'm not going to be weird that she's not text me.

Maybe she's just very busy and the time difference doesn't help or maybe she's banging an Aussie dude and has lost interest, who knows. Find out this weekend I guess when she gets back and we meet up or not. Half arranged a date for the fringe as long as she wasn't working which she'd find out once she's home so probably a good sign.

Obviously hoping it turns out well and that she still wants to keep seeing me as I rather like her but not much I can do if she has lost interest, these things happen. I've seen it split more people up than not but I'll trust in what she says until proven otherwise, maybe we'll be in the minority.
If not, well I'll be gutted but as the advice goes on here jump back in. August in Edinburgh is a great month. Tonnes of people flood to Edinburgh, loads of random shows to go to and all the clubs are open until 5am (a novelty for us!) so always plenty of good nights out and lots of good date ideas.

Shall see what happens this weekend...

Two matches on tinder tonight both quite chatty. Both send a word for word identical message about meeting friend in pub who is going to flake. Then follow up saying have to run. Then both say "Damn I have to run, can you add me here http://tindweb.com/connect/m2015"

What's that all about as I'm sure not going to click it!!!

Right chaps, got a date with nice lass up in London. Don't usually bother travelling further than a local bar for most but fancy a night out in London and it's a good excuse to visit my sister and her sofa (assuming the date goes badly).

My suggestion of Wetherspoons in Dagenham has been shot down.

Any idea's on some good parts of the big smoke to go?

Camden was always a good laugh but everything closes early, Shoreditch is, well Shoreditch.

Four weeks, seven dates, several hundred texts and most every night on the phone.
I appear to have caught a tall slim curly red headed unicorn. Yay!

My standard text for such situations is "It feels like we're drifting apart :P"

Drop that, or just a fun playful text - like a normal person who wasn't overly invested in one girl wink
