cant decide on this one, it does seem fairly cheap for what it is, though it is a Cat c? engine bay looks abit grubby, no mention of when the conversion was carried out, how many miles its done since, what ECU its running. I also wonder what needed doing to make a £700 bill for the MOT! Probably worth a look but could easily end up costing you big time. I would have thought RVT would have made a much better advert than that!
Same thoughts as Rib. £700 to go through MOT no mention of advisories. Regardless of Cat C, the SC conversion would have cost a small fortune, only then to sell the car so cheaply. I'm sure Powers did a good install, but a lot of this may boil down to how well the car has been maintained since the install. May be good for a project if you're good with the spanners and have a nice workshop, but I would be really careful if its at the top of your budget. Phrases like 'needs care/ love/ time/ attention' roughly translates to 'needs parts, labour and money!'.
Without looking, I would be budgeting for a body-off (or at least out rotters), new cam, perhaps new ECU as it looks like it's still running a dizzy, so probably 14cux (unless it has MS p&p). You may also find that if it's been stood for a long time, then seals and gaskets will need doing too... Hopefully not the rear crank oil seal (gearbox out jobby), that's before you start on general service items and cosmetics.
A good project at the right price for the right person, with the time and money. Big potential for most to get into an costly relationship, which will ultimately end in heartbreak!

I gave the chap a call the other day to find a bit more out as i'm on the lookout again at the moment.
Apparently the work that has been done for the MOT was Fuel lines, alternator, battery etc as it had been sat a while - outside - in the rain - with a broken rear screen. The guy said that the carpets absolutely stink and will definitely need changing. He said that chasis was in pretty decent nick with a bit of rust showing but no holes anywhere (yet).
I didn't ask about the supercharger much as my knowledge in that department is non-existent. Decided i don't really want another project car myself but this sounded half decent....
