You slept in the bar at Trivial Towers underneath a pile of members' coats and hunting dogs and you've woken up smelling of stale beer to the sound of members complaining about the lack of food, an impending visit by the WI and trespassers at the end of the runway.

Take it from there.

I was lying in bed last night thinking I've had a pretty good run on the sauce lately and I'm due a detox. This is the perfect opportunity. Z is away till mid October and there's nothing planned with mates. So time to agree to nothing and keep my head down.

I've just been reminded that I'm going to Italy on Wednesday wine tasting.

Right! Definitely when I get back I'm going to agree to nothing and keep my head down and sort my liver.

Happy Monday people...It's going to be a long one.

It seems strange to me that when setting up a terror organisation whose name is supposed to strike fear into all who hear it you should choose to name it after a notoriously uncomfotable and inefficient shiny British toilet paper.

Grease proof paper was a better absorber than that vile Army stuff.

Any sign of a Paul Williams, AO? We're fairly sure he's here somewhere but he seems to be a bit lost.

If there's no news of him by lunchtime can you organise a search party?

Right, I'm off to run 13 miles - my last long run before the half marathon on Sunday.

Back later.

This is madness. Buy a car or a bike or something. Running isn't good for you in any way unless you're being chased by tigers.

Peperami.

Why?

I keep getting suckered into buying one, then the disappointment kicks in. What a waste of 85p.

Yes, unleash the hounds. I suggest we start with the Daschunds and work up. We can't be sure his intentions are malevolent and should give him the benefit of the doubt.

Just been handed my course folders for the next four weeks. One has all the paper printouts of the PowerPoint slideshow we'll be watching. Bearing in mind they're printed 3 slides a side, the folder is still over three inches thick.

fk it, just water board me. It's more humane.

I once attended a course in germany where there were 1000 ppt's in 5 days of training. After the first hour of trying to make sense of each slide as it flashed up before your eyes to be gone in a blur of moments, I learned to just sit back relax and just look at the pretty colours.

The annoying thing is, the key message could probably be delivered in no more than 40.

Powerpoint, making the obvious pretty since people started to point sticks at screens.
