Hello Gents,
I can see there is a PC clan on here but has anyone got one up and running for the xbox 360 version, if there is such a thing for the 360.
I normally play on alone but a co-ordinated attack with others seems like a good way forward. I have been playing it very regularly now for nearly a year and have something in the garage for tier 1 right up to tier 7.

What is your gamertag?

There is no organised clan function on the Xbox version yet, but it is apparently on the "To do" list for Wargaming, which means it could be months yet. With the announcement of WOT for the XB1, I wouldn't expect clan functionality this year.

There are a few of us who platoon fairly regularly, just myself and Z06George on here, but we normally play a 3 man platoon, which leaves us with two empty slots. You're welcome to join us, but we mainly play higher tiers, so 7-10. However, we've all got a decent spread of tanks, so we can mix things up a bit. If you have a Churchill III that would be a bonus, as we've run a platoon of those before with great success, and considered what we could do with 4 or 5 Churchills.

Howdy Peeps...

I assume the clan is fairly casual?

Any CW or SH obligations?

Cheers for getting back to me. My gamer tag is as above, spudgun GB. Please add me when you get five minutes.
I have a jpanther and AT7, I think they are both tier 7. My "tanks" are a little lower down the scale.
I had a churchill once and struggled with it. The fact the cannon had very poor movment up and down meant being on an incline was difficult to use. Also I found all though it had a lot of armour points it seemed to be made of plastercine and not take much damage. Leave it with me though as I have a spare garage slot at present.

The Churchill III is one of those tanks that is very sad and lonely when played alone, but when platooned with 2 others really comes into its own. The absurd dpm that 3 of these things spews out is quite ridiculous and capable of shredding anything they are likely to meet if you focus the fire of all 3.

Get in a platoon and enjoy the lols. tank

Quick review of the Chi Nu Kai: Bloody great. The large size, poor engine power and terrible armour should totally kill this thing, not to mention the 400m radio range which makes it hard to find enemies on large maps, but it's all about the gun. When you buy a Chi Nu Kai, you pay for the gun and the rest of the tank is free. The view range is great too, I've had a lot of fun penetrating the frontal armour of KV-1s tonight, while they scan their turrets around, looking to see what is shooting them. The only downside is when facing really tough targets, the APCR is a little lacking, but tbh, 125mm pen with standard AP, 2 second-ish aim time and a 4 second reload on tier 5 medium is more than adequate. This thing will see some serious play time. I've earned 600,000 in a single evening just playing this thing, and I got up to the top of tier 3 in the Japanese medium line in the same sitting.

Yes it's OK. It's very similar to the regular tier 5, but has a less powerful engine.

Russian heavies are usually pretty blind, so out ranging them isn't hard. I once had a KV-1 calling hax on me for hitting him with my FCM Pak 40 TD (500m view range with binocs). biggrin

A wonky photo then a blurry one:

7 kills, High Calibre, Ace Tanker. The second photo shows that me and the other Chi Nu Kai managed over 3000 damage and 11 kills between us, medium domination.

This thing is an absolute blast, and I regret not buying it when the early adopter pack came out, I could have had a decent crew trained up, or at least a crew with sixth sense and BIA full trained out. As it is, I'm holding back on grinding the Japanese medium line until I've at least got a sixth sense crew. The CNK hit point pool is dire at 480hp for a tier 5 medium, couple that with no real armour and the enemy can wreck it. I lost 3/4 of my health last night when a tier 3 Cruiser derped me.

Anyone on the pc version been seeing any strange bounces from shells recently when fired at enemies?

I've just had a game where I was in my fully upgraded E75 with the TierX 12.5 gun and come up against 2x Tiger 1's. I had 3 rounds bounce in a row on the front view port area whist every one of theirs hurt me. (their tanks was not angled at a angle that would cause concern) Not sure why but it's felt like some weird things have been happening the last month or so with regards to bouncing shells that imo should have easily done damage. I even had a shell bounce off the side armor of a Tiger 1 from the same gun.

Happens all the time with the Centurion 7/1's 105mm. I call it the bounce gun because it's so common.

I did enjoy, in the FV207 last night, bouncing a fking big shell off the back of a 212A.

Needless to say, with the rng that far against us (WTF don't they tone it done a little?!?!!), we lost.
