That thing was bloody deadly though & and it's still my most played SPG - 259 games, 469 kills, 8 Top Guns, 17 Confederates and even 2 Fadin's Medals for nailing the last enemy tank with my last round.

First they nerfed the ammo capacity & then the gun elevation, so it could no longer defend itself. I sold it at that point. After that they removed the gun it once had. It's now a pea shooter & a shadow if its former self.
551 battles, 53% winrate. Was obviously doing something right!

German police recently found several WW2 weapons and vehicles at the home of a 78 year old man.

These include a torpedo, an 88mm flak gun a Panther tank. laugh

They had to call the German Army in to haul away the Panther, which is missing its tracks.

He's being investigated for possibly breaching German weapons laws and dealing in stolen Nazi-era art. It seems the locals knew he had the tank as he used it to get around & help clear the roads during heavy snow back in the late 1970s.

tank
The tank is perfect for restoration, it does not need that much work as it looks like it has been well looked after and stored indoors.

Love the idea of using a tank as a winter runabout. Parking it up in Tesco Waitrose would be fun too - look for the nicest car parked safely away from everything else, then go park next to it. You can just imagine the panic when the owner claps eyes on it hehe

Ha, yeah. The look on their face would be priceless. I'd love to take a Centurion tank down to Tescos. They've already got shopping baskets on the back of the turret.

The guy's lawyer says they're de-activated (a welded up breach, probably) and legit, so if that's the case he'll likely get them all back once they've been cleared. I wonder if it's a runner once the tracks are back on. Seems a shame to have it squirrelled away like that.

I also liked that Bergepanzer (Leopard-based combat recovery vehicle) the army brought to pull the Panther out. You could have a lot of fun with that.

Wonder how to covince the good mrs bstb3 we need a tank whistle

Game has been a bit troll to me recently, but had a nice result today. Had been putting off even trying the infamous t55a MT-12 mission, "The incinerator", having heard so many people being stuck on it for ages (it requires 2 tanks to be set on fire in the same match). Got it on the second attempt laugh. Set a VK36 on fire with a front engine shot early in the game, but the chances for a second were slipping away. Then got super lucky - caught the last enemy tank, a dicker max, who shot me leaving me on 47hp. My return on the move snapshot hit him frontally, setting him alight with another engine fire cool. Complete RNG fluke & cue lots of dancing - to bemused looks from dog.

Well not sure if I should laugh or cry. Spent about 4 mins de-tracked by a T37 in my Black Prince as my team mates decided to bugger off even after asking for support.

Anyway the image speaks for itself.

Yep, arty is a pain in the rear to play. RNG dependant and dependant on the spotting and scouting abilities of your team. Scout drivers that suicide don't get that it takes nearly a minute to load and half a minute to aim the damn things and if you have to re-position...

I have had games in the M53/55 where I have one shotted tier 7 and tier 8 heavies (Tiger I and IS-8) and others where I simply cannot land a shell no matter how long the reticle has been zero'd in, sometimes doing 10 damage on burst irked. I'd gladly accept a reduction in damage output for being less at the mercy of the RNG - especially given the cost of the shells.
I think everyone agrees that something drastic needs to be done with Arty. It is a broken mechanic and is no fun to play for either the Arty player or the intended victims. It just seems to be a study in frustration for all concerned.

WG could do worse than steal Armoured Warfares ideas on Arty (AW were quick enough to pinch WGs game model). In AW Arty fires rapidly and with reasonable accuracy, but they do no more damage than regular guns. As an added twist, when Arty fires, its rough location pings on opposing Arties map. The more it fires from the same location the more accurate the ping marker becomes. This makes for an interesting sub-game where Arty duels and counter battery fire results.

I haven't heard of anyone moaning about broken Arty in AW so far, and dare I say it....it actually looks like an interesting and fun mode to play! nuts

It makes a lot more sense. In reality, you wouldn't have a single artillery piece, aiming to hit a single enemy tank, across several miles.

Hey guys,

Just found out that my copy of Fury came with a WoT card lol.

So if anyone is on the fence or has someone they know who wishes to start the game I have 3 codes that gives new players a T-15 premium tank and 7 days of premium.

Good job. I can see that one being a major sticking point for most people.

Yeah its not bad that. More of a second line sniper than in your face medium, but it's a good enough tank to play through. Similar style of play to the Panther's that follow it really, and with the E50's you can then start to boss games more.

wow, how bad was the match maker last night

repeated T8 games in my T6. most of my team are reds, they have mostly greens and yellows, they have more T8s, way more heavies, we have the lesser tanks.

Well I saw a red (46%-er) get a Radley Walters yesterday for 8 kills with a T14. I was playing the tier 3 Derpencruiser in a heavily tier 5 game game on the fjords map. Our team collapsed very quickly and it looked to be all over, but we managed to pull it back. I only got one kill and beat up a Matilda IV a bit, but that's tier 3 vs 5 for you.

By the end it was just me, the T14 and a KV-1 against 2 arty. I drove back to our base in case they tried any funny business and let the other tanks finish the game. Then the KV-1 stopped moving and his dead platoon mate said his computer had crashed. Fortunately the T14 was able to nail the arty for the game & his medals.

So, miracles can happen after all. wink

All that jazz

Tier 3 derpcruiser in a tier 5 game is about as bad as it gets and the reason I stopped playing it because I always seem to be bottom tier. I'm 99% sure it happens because of your own rating despite everyone saying otherwise. Strange how I nearly always get top or top-mid tier on a friends account who is average at best. scratchchin
