and the 997 gt3?
to be fair, to the 997, it was not a bad car, just the sum of its parts the time, I mean it wasn't like a move back to the dark ages, like the 6RS, that skipped a few generation's and went back in time, I have had planks of wood with roller skates on each corner that handle better..The problem for the 997 is that the 991GT3 has not just skipped a face lift or a platform change, upgrade, its moved things on at least 2 generation's,

I get the impression you cant drive very well..996 gt3 rs is a handful I would agree..but if you want what you seem to think is great just buy a Nissan Gtr surely?Would be quicker point to point than anything else but fooking boring below 80mph!And to be fair if you think 996 gt3rs is a massive step back you haven't driven many air-cooled cars! The problem for the 997 is that the 991GT3 has not just skipped a face lift or a platform change, upgrade, its moved things on at least 2 generation's,

Free market
Fully agree, only the" terminally deluded" would even think that this does not go on, at the end of the day no one makes em buy a car.....lol........APOLO1 said:
exactly, my point, don't get caught out in the hype, I know what my friend paid a few weeks back, but more important, it was the highest offer at the time, and it was at least good boxster away from the prices being touted on here...
120k is the price at which they appear to have settled, which is what your mate bought his at, with 20 odd k miles on it. JZM must have sold their 20 odd k mile one at a very similar price, so not sure what you are referring to re the prices being touted. The only outlier is the JZM under 10k mile car. And I'm sure you can understand that it would command a premium over a 20 k plus mile car.Alpinestars said:

then he must have found the other 10k plus and a bit in his crisps.....Alpinestars said:
I'm merely commenting that JZM in my view, are a transparent lot. And I can now confirm both cars at JZM were sold.
Fully endorse this. Both cars sold, and to doubt JZM is unfair. They have an excellent reputation, have the best choice of cars for good reason.
I have worked with them for 20+ years and have always been impressed with their pragmatic approach.

fully agree with you on the 997 lot also as I said the front end is flawed. Just washes out, its horrible.....
It's called driver induced understeer Old Chap. If you would care to explain where abouts in the corner you were/are experiencing it, I will happily help with the flaws in your driving technique. Edited by APOLO1 on Wednesday 20th August 12:46

Look forward to the "Educating of Apolo", but doubt he will learn. After all he has owned so many cars and was a race driver (proof still outstanding)
