Here's my 1979 El Camino that I've just bought. Very original, paint a bit flat, runs very well. It's a Conquista model with a 305 small block and four barrel. After years of British classics (particularly TVR) this a bit of a departure for me!!

5th generation El Camino, nice smile I remember my uncle's 4th generation El Camino from when I was a kid, cool little trucks!

It looks to be in really nice condition too, that's a great find here in the UK smile I hope you don't mind me asking, but how much do they go by roughly? Plan to keep it stock?

I have a valuation from the American Autos Club with the truck that values it at around £7.5k. I paid a bit less. I have a set of Cragars to go on it and I might do something with the paint but just going to enjoy it at the moment :-)

Cracking looking motor. Did you purchase in the UK ?

I'm looking into bringing an old one in from the states with probably a brand spanking new crate engine along for the journey too.

How do you find living with what is essentially a pickup? I can't make out whether you have the cover for it or not. I'd be looking to take mine to Le Mans every year and laugh at everyone squished into their sports cars as I baaaaaaruuuble down the road : )
