Has there been a change of terms regarding promotional emails?

I have my account set to not receive either emails or newsletters (which I have just checked) but I seem to be receiving the reader offer emails now. I received the Salon Prive one just now - any ideas or just a glitch?

Thanks

It annoyed me too. May unsub in armchair protest!

No mention of PH, its slipping into standard car spam, and the T&Cs were broke.

Promo emails are handled by a centralised team, so I am unaware of what they are sending out.

I will have a word to see where they are getting their list from for these promotional emails and see what is happening with the terms on PH vs the listing... bare with me.

Just a quick update...

I am still working on this as the main guy was unavailable to get a list, so hopefully have it sorted this week.

Right I have an answer from our data team.

It seems that though the forums is one place that you can signup (or stop) email promotions there are other places that will add you to the list too, and thus the forums profile isn't the single place that holds your marketing permissions.

So James, you signed up for the Rush Film competition which added you onto the promo lists, and beeej yours is from the classifieds registration.

I have got the data team to remove both of you from all future mailings.

Things we are doing to make this more joined up:
  • We are rolling out a single sign on system for across the site, so the marketing permissions are linked between forum profiles and classifieds
  • Our data team are rolling out a single email preference centre for you to manage Haymarket email permissions as a whole.
Hope that answers the questions
