Glorious thumbup

Took my S2 XJ6 in to my local Jag guru at the weekend and left it parked next to his beautiful Daimler XJC, it just oozed class (if I can download the pics from my useless phone I'll post them here). The landlord of my local boozer used to have one twenty odd years ago as his daily driver, it was a bit ratty round the edges but had so much presence and back then you couldn't give them away.

Been a long time coming and lots to finish it off. Plan is to get it roadworthy for the Brands event on the 31st May, a lot to do but with good planning and some cash it could be done.

Now I can finally post in the Jaguar section. Joy !

Recently purchased 1999 XJR 74k miles.

She's currently down at Penge Jags for a spot of preventative maintenance
- Water pump/Thermostat/cam chains/tensioners / gearbox oil and replacement of suspension/steering bushes.

Quick question on correct tyre size if anyone can help.
The Penta's have 245/45/R18 Proxes on at the moment, but the full size spare is a 255/40/R18.
Wondered which is the factory fit size ? Thanks

It will be going to Lepsons shortly for full wheel refurb and new rubber.
Possibly Mitch PS2's as been happy with those on the Z4MC.

s

Also, bought her some new plates from Lancaster Sidcup and a 'heritage' style keyring for myself.

Although I found this 'original equipment' on the Information Superhighway which suggests a 255 section ?
