Did it not come with the yellow JPE dials then Mike or have they been replaced?
also didn't you have a "JPE" exhaust guard? Was that a JPE OEM item or something added later.

Oh and hi Kenny byebye - hope all is well with you and yours (and I mean Pat, not the car smile ).

And therein lies the problem Arnie, it's only original as it never gets bloody used.
Seriously thinking of a more useable 7 or Exige/Noble type. However when it's gone it's gone. And that's why it's still here, I've regretted too many car sales as I'm sure we all have........ie "if only I'd have kept the blah blah" rolleyes

Thanks for that, we're fine. Hope you and your family are too. And it's long time no see I'm sad to say.

Nice car :-)

Thinking about alternative engines (if or when my vhpd K will blows up).. i don' like too much the Duratec r500 specs engine that makes a lot of hot hair and make difficult to drive in summer.

How is this VX ? I'ts sounds good with 250 hp (and i saw 290hp kit also :-0 )

Anybody ha ever made a K to VX coversion?

The exhaust is on the same side. Will the 6 gear trasmission fit?

MY JPE was specifically ordered without the JPE dials. It had the JPE exhaust guard as original and also a 6 speed box. Mr Hans Rausing then spent about £50k having it all taken off and turbo charged. eek!

I did a LOT of research when i bought that car and managed to return it back to it's original guise except for the webber alpha injection system. I even tracked down the original saddle tank and managed to get original spec JPE kevlar seats....

Mike,I'd bet 2 JPE's never left the factory in the same spec. Most people think if it's not bright yellow with 0-100-0 stamped on it then it's a fake biggrin

Mike, out of interest what condition was that car in when you sold it? I'd a feeling it was as new/mint having been fully refreshed....(I fancied it but was in Spain for a month when it was advertisedfrown )
If so then it looks like the new owner used it a bit judging by its front suspension, and unless the pics are playing tricks the bulkhead area looks ropey too, hard to tell.

Arnie, believe me I have been on the look out. They always look great in the pics but the ones I've been to see have been dedicated and often scabby trackday cars. Now if I could find a nice one owner properly decent example I'd be up for it. In fact even the early 2.5 is bloody quick, I'd have a nice one of those if a 3R never showed up. There's just so few of them to go at........and never one locally.

A 400 would be a great investment too I reckon.

Hi Kenny, yep it was truly mint when I sold it and agree, looks a bit shabby now. I doubt he got anything like £52k for it.

It was shabby when you beat me to it Mike way back when....the vendor was unrealistic with his pricing and one year after I offered him what I considered was a fair price he sold it. To you. At the price I offered him 12 months before...!

I know I’m a bit late to the party on this one and that is a lot of money, but how far from a realistic price is it? I know these things are pretty rare and have the cachet of being the first high power 7, with a pretty special drivetrain

The only reason I ask is I know someone who maybe looking to sell one (perfect condition) but isn’t sure where the market on them is...especially when so few were produced.

I'd value a mint one at £30k. At least that's what I'd pay for it smile But that is based on the prices of mint Lotus 7s and the value of R500s, K and D....

First high power 7 was the Swindon 235. The engine in that was very nearly the basis for the JPE when it was being developed.
