After-show on the red button...
I did that and it looped already. So I'm presuming it's done now?

If anyone recorded it's, (we are watching on rewind) and Caroline has just done her show dance. At the end, camera pans up to the balcony and it looks like Greg turns to Steve and says 'crap, utterly crap'. We rewound a few times and it really does look like it! And he's not clapping or anything.
I thought he was saying 'incredible' ...
I saw it as 'incredible' as well.

Absolutely. It's been a brilliant ride. And you guys have enhanced it. Thank you!

Feeling the love. Group hug!

Just watched the 2nd half on playback. What a great final, all 3 danced brilliantly. I feel the outcome was already sealed but Webbie and Flackers were stunning.

Great fun all round.

If anybody thinks any of Flacks' dances were a patch on Simon's Argentine Tango then you were watching different dancing to me. All round she is better, but her best v his best? Its no contest, that AT blows her out of the water.

Great poses smile. Esp by Judy!

Not that it matters now but I'd have liked Simon to win. Biggest improvement and a fantastic Argentine Tango.

Oh and I also thought Greg said incredible.

Very enjoyable final and the right result in the end but all tens? Throughout the series it's been mentioned about Craig not giving tens out willy nilly like the other judges and tonight we saw why. Simon's Argentine Tango was so obviously better than any other dance on the night yet we'd already seen a dozen tens by the time he came to do that.

Dance of the series, along with Pixie's gladiator dance at (I think) Blackpool. But Caroline was a worthy winner in the end, well done to her, well done to the finalists and well done to all involved, great telly.

So what are we supposed to watch this evening?

Did they mention Ola and her injury at all, I never heard if they did.

120/120 for someone who can't do ballroom wobble
You keep saying that, but it's not a ballroom dance contest; it's a multi-discipline dance contest.

Well, actually, it's not even that - it's a dance-related popularity contest but let's not go there. smile

Just watched it back. Greg says 'incredible, just incredible' when describing Caroline's show dance. You can even hear him saying it.

Agreed.

Watching it this morning I'm not quite sure how anyone would think he said anything else. He didn't even looked pissed off.

He definitely looks really pissed off when he says it. And he is not clapping when he says it, or smiling, he looks proper pissed off.

No he doesn't. You're just seeing things you want to see. Just looks like someone impressed by a fellow contestant's performance and saying so to another fellow contestant. Just because he isn't clapping doesn't mean anything, he's just talking to someone.

Only just caught up with this as we were out last night and then working today (luckily managed to avoid the result entirely!)

Thought the whole final was brilliant. Was glad Mark went first based on his dances though I would have liked him in the final three with Simon/Caroline really if he'd managed to perform better in the final.

Really grew to like both Caroline and Simon, found Frankie pretty but dull and lacking spark. Wouldn;t have minded Simon winning at all as he seemed so genuine and his relationship with Christina was quite sweet. Thought I might dislike him (and Christina too tbh) right at the start but they both came across really well all the time.

Caroline was a worthy winner though, also very sweet, and I could watch her dancing all day.

Cracking series all round!

Ps. thought the 'Takes Two' show was pretty well done this year and ended up watching almost every episode. It also gave you a chance to see the female dancers dancing in yoga pants, and I do very much love yoga pants.....

IMO Caroline was the right winner, although I wouldn't have been unhappy had Simon been announced as the winner, as he really made a fantastic effort right from the start to finish. Initially I was expecting him to come across as a bit of a pillock (based on what the various members of Blue have got up to in the years since the band split). He certainly went up in my estimation and I reckon Strictly will have done a lot for his future going forward smile

Overall I reckon this was a really decent & enjoyable series.

the show gone on for another two or three weeks Simon might have snuck it.

yes the best dancer won so can't really complain at that, despite the fact that she effectively has a dance degree in contempory dance and only got into television as a result of not being succesful at getting into the west end shows....

good series overall
