I'd imagine the S2000 with its reliability and cheaper parts?

S2000 is supposedly very expensive to insure - not sure if this is still the case but worth bearing in mind.

That will also depend on how high risk the driver is - if it's the difference between £300 and £450, that's maybe less of an issue than if it's £2000 and £3000!

I know, what I mean is that the importance of relative insurance costs varies a lot between people, because their individual risk varies. So even if one car is 50% more expensive to insure than another, that might be a big deal for a youngster and irrelevant to an old fart.

Going to be a slightly bias response here seeing as the Honda forum, but:

Z4 cheaper on fuel
Z4 cheaper on insurance.

Honda cheaper elsewhere - servicing, parts, tyres on OEM wheels etc.

spent some time on the Z4 forum and it just seemed a bit too fragile for my liking to use as a daily driver.

Honda come ranked in the top 3 normally in every reliability survey of cars you can find on the net, so...

My S2K has been pretty bulletproof for the last 4 years. Just a battery replacement required, nothing else.

You need to test drive both cars (if you haven't already)....for me the VTEC provides a huge grin factor!

I'm not sure where people are getting the idea that parts are cheap from. Honda Uk is a total rip off when it comes to S2000 parts. I'm not sure if it's just that model or the whole range.
Luckily it's rare you need ever to buy any smile

BMW isn't exactly the land of milk and honey either.
True, and any way - who orders directly from Honda anyway? Cheaper elsewhere...
