Funny, the second the picture opened up I thought " that's in America" ..... just looks kinda over bling???

Good luck to the guy if he can get the money (and not a penny less) wink

Looks lovely.

"This car will only appreciate with less than 40 left on the road and only this one I can find in this colour". That can't be right can it?

Not sure about the 'V8' on the dash though. As if the stonking great bulge in the bonnet and the row coming out of the back end left you in any doubt about what you were sitting in laugh

Well into good Chim / Griff territory at that price - I appreciate he's spent money on it but you only ever get a fraction of that back.

It does look tidy though.

Saw this chap post earlier in year - the car looks great in pearlescent white - he's also gone for the 15" front and 16" rear splits which I think came off a griff. (mine had these, but leaking air and scuzzy, so took them off) - Like you Joe, I really have my doubts about that oft quoted statistic of 40 left on the road. There were 5 or 6 on the euro trip alone and I've seen many at car shows, let alone the number of owners we know on hear and those that have been for sale this year - one look at the V8S owners list confirmed over 70!. I think that DVLA data is properly flawed to be honest.

I really don't think that's a lot of money for a high quality V8 S.

Swiss Toni - I wasn't debating the price in my comments - just the number of V8's often quoted as being in circulation. The price is as much as someone's prepared to pay basically. Is a 250 GTO worth £30,000,000 + (doubtful as the sums of parts but...... people are prepared to pay it

Presumably that's 40 registered with the DVLA as a V8S rather than a 290? (mine says 290 and I expect most of them do)

Well every other modern classic seems to be going nuts in value. I see no reason why S's should be excluded....

Good luck to him for getting the price, they are all worth it thumbup

As for the car, not sure if it suits white. No mention on chassis condition except that it's been waxoiled twice. What could it be hiding scratchchin Can see signs of rust on the bonnet stay, looks in better condition than mine and my chassis was a state! If it was great then I'm sure he would be making a deal out of it.

Service history; if it's been serviced annually, then surely it would have overflowed further than it has?

Still, it does look like a good car. Just as long as you like the colour!

Price has dropped by £2000, maybe he's in more need of selling it than before.

It also brings in into line with the other V8S in the classifieds. Must be a rare day when V8's outnumber V6's!
