...crossing the River Trent bridge in Newark at 1345 today.......at least, I think it was a Chim. Had ths strange black thing over the driver and passenger. hehe

Are you local to Newark? I am, and was in the Navy Chimaera going the other way with the roof off. Too busy steering the mini roundabout to wave.

hi yep that was me in the Chim, saw you coming out of Waitrose junction

I live up at Coddington, roof on due to chilly passenger but to be fair she had spent a day helping me with electrical issues so I can't ask for more than that smile

Yours is a nice looking car smile

Just what I was thinking about yours - that lovely glowing dark red is my current favourite colour.

I too suffer with a SWMBO who is a darling but for whom the TVR is always too hot, too cold, too windy, too noisy (a real joke, as she is profoundly deaf), too uncomfortable etc etc. Our touring holiday is going to be in the Audi irked

I rarely see another TVR in Newark - and I live in Coddington too. Small world! I am on Balderton Lane, at the Windmill half a mile down on the right. Pop in if you are passing, kettle's always on.

Do you do track days?

Thanks Jason! No, actually it was a sprint day, but it was simply my own fault - thought I could power slide my way out of a tight corner, lost it, should have let it go, didn't, so ended up shooting off the other way when it bit back, into an earth bank. Just a few cracks in the fibreglass, which will be fixed in November together with a front end re-spray and new headlights, and a couple of new bits of carpet.

Steve, it would be nice to see you (and your TVR and other half) at a track day. I will chat to you about it when I see you. We have one coming up not long after you come back from Spa. Text me first 07736 774325 in case I am out.....though my wife is quite used to random strangers in TVRs turning up unannounced, and has already been made aware of your existence.

Don't know why I called you Steve, Pete. Apart from the fact that 50% of TVR owners seem to be called Steve.....

The next track day I am doing is at Cadwell Park on 1st September (ie a week on Monday). If you fancy it and can do a Monday, I can lend you a helmet and some track tyres if you need them. There are three other TVRs already coming, a Cerbera, another Chimaera and I assume a wedge. It's on the Javelin Trackdays website if you fancy it and want to book. Only reason I am tryping this now is that there are already only 11 places left.
