Just whipped into Halfords to pick up some oil before they close and when I got the Mobile 1 home, I found that I'd picked up the ESP version of it, which bangs on about particulate filters and catalytic converters. Neither of which I have!

Will the oil do the same job, or do I need to take it back tomorrow? Or is it a question for Opie-man?

TIA

Hi Lee,

As long as it is in spec Mobil esp oil uses group IV base stock so is a decent synthetic oil. You'll only go one better with group V oils which contain esters.

Here's an explanation.
