New Strap and Clasp for TW Steels
Discussion
Hi all,
I know TW Steels aren't highly thought of on here but I really like them!
I've currently got the 48mm Pilot...
And I've more recently got a 45mm Canteen (I personally think the strap is too narrow for the 50mm case)...
I would like to change the strap on the Pilot for something a bit different, maybe a NATO style strap or even a bracelet style.
I'd like to add a deployant clasp to the Canteen.
Can someone recommend where I can go or a website to look at for decent quality parts? Maybe some suggestion of straps which would suit the Pilot?
Thanks in advance.

I'd suggest these guys, should go well with the chunky feel of a TW.

I have nothing to add in the way of helping you find a better stap, but I do own a canteen Tw Steel 45mm watch with black and yellow face and quite like it, just a shame it hasn't got sapphire crystal glass mines scratches to sh*t.
update here if you do find one as my strap has seen better days and could do with a new one.

Out of interest.... why are TW Steel watches thought of so badly on here?
I have a Mick Doohan CEO Tech and it was my first "expensive" watch. I really like it but a bit confused at the poor reputation. I also have a Seiko Monster thanks to these forums but i am intrigued to know what is so bad about the TW's.

Basically it's a very young brand with no heritage making huge cases with very small mechanics behind the face.
I think they're good VFM, everyone comments on my watches as I guess they stand out and the comments are always positive but to a true horology buff they're just a fashion watch. In my eyes, they're an affordable watch brand... They don't make handbags!
I'm a big fan of watches but I can't justify spending more than £500 on a watch yet. I've only just got a house! But putting price aside, I bloody love the designs of the one I have and will probably buy a DC one next.

Probably something to do with charging over the odds for a fashion watch containing a quartz movement that costs next to nothing.Model CE4020 @ £595 uses a Miyota 6S20 available from Cousins for £13.85
The higher the ratio of value of the movement to value of the case, the better regarded the watch is likely to be. Case > movement = fashion. Movement > case = horology.
