Hello all. I am currently contemplating cutting a hole in the wing of my 54 OTS to get at the lower hinges. Has anyone got a better idea/done this before?

Crap! I thought that would be the answer. Oh well, its being repainted anyway and hopefully the repairs will last another 60 years (by which time I am unlikely to care).

Not unfamiliar ground, this!! Speak to Leaping Cats before you make the cut to organise exactly what you need, and cut to that!

You might want to try asking on jag-lover's XK list too. There are a lot of XK120 owners from around the world there a quite a lot who've rebuilt their 120s from the ground up.
