Hi everyone,
As above, my Proflow long tubes + decat + WP Supercar sounds very... muffled. Not implying there is anything wrong with them. Just surprised the car with the headers is quieter than stock manifolds.

PS. No, I'm not deaf wink

A couple of senior forum members (senior not in that way) as well as bunch of my friends stated that it was on a quite side...

Is there anything the dodgy welder that damaged my car would have done something else? I dread to think Supercar backboxes catered as donors to someone else's car? I can't even check as the car is sitting at Motorbodies.

On a serious note, though should I worry?

Something's wrong somewhere, it should sound like thunder! smile

What was it like before you fitted the headers?

It was nearly loud enough. Now it sounds like decat WP Performance...

Has it got the switch on the back boxes? even if its not wired in the people that worked on your car may have moved the valves to the quiet position

No switch. Never had one at all. No other mods were being done to the exhaust apart from mating up 3inch collector to 2.5inch mid section.

Are you talking at idle or at full WOT?

Just had headers and sport cats fitted to my GTS and was very disappointed with the idle noise, no noticable difference until you blip the throttle.

At idle, headers gave me additional valvetrain noise. Lovely...not.

The car is VXR8.

The noise at idle is just not as loud as it used to be. At WOT... I don't know yet. Not been brave enough after recently sending pistons sideways... Plus, it's for ever droning inside, so it's quite difficult to tell...
