Having just changed my fuel filter cartridge and put it all back together I am very concerned by the (lack of) clearance between the rod linkage and the fuel line and silicone cooling pipe hose. This is the bottom right of the bulkhead.

They linkage appears to be touching the fuel line when in 2nd, 4th, or 6th gear. This has me very concerned as cutting through the fuel line is not a great thing to do, or be thinking about...also seems very close to the water hose in that corner.

Strangely I also seem to have some pipe damage on an air con hose which looks to have melted but not quite split. This is not right down there in that corner so unrelated but annoying.

The gear linkage when in the even gears means that the rose joint is coming forward and touching the fuel line. If it not touching it is less than the width of a piece of card from touching. Fast changes and a sharp edge could in time slice through the hose. This is the hose to the right of the 10 micron filter that sharply loops around to the left and up.

I am running the LS factory standard fuel system set up. Anyone running same set up have any idea what sort of clearance they have?

Thanks

Mark
