So btcc goes north to the fantastic knockhill track for rd 7 of the series.
With turks handed a 10 place grid drop from contact with neal last meeting and with knockhill being good to bmw will one of the other 2 bmw drivers score there first win with the new car.

Jason plate has to do well this round to stay in contention as well as Andrew Jordan too which had a nightmare of a weekend last time out.

Shedden could do well here with turks starting down the field he has the perfect chance to claw some points back from turks.

Will bmr racing with now having 4 passats continue to improve in the hands of smith and menu surely menu is due a good result.

As ever with knockhill the famous scotish weather will play a huge part on the racing and potential winners, and with 31 cars im predicting to be a lot of damaged cars by the end of the 3rd race.

Despite Shedden working at Knockhill he never really goes "that well" there. Its very much a power track and with the Civics being slower than most in a straight line he'll struggle to pass. Smith should go well since he won at Knockhill before and the Passats are mighty on the straights.

Also, 31 cars on the track at one time is a lot for the relatively "little" circuit. You say there'll be loads of damaged cars after race 3, I say after race 1.

Weather forecast looks cold but dry for the weekend. 31 cars is going to be interesting for the start, think they'll be right down at the hairpin for the cars at the very back.

Did you see Andy Forrest's Impreza lap on low boost and non-race fuel?!

At one of the trackdays recently, videos on trackscotland in the events bit I think.

Running low boost and v-power [he reckons ~300hp down on peak power] it ran a 49 flat and by his own admission he was rusty on the corners. Mental!

Hope it's not an omen for the young guy but I just passed a broken down Lazer Tools racing lorry on the hard shoulder of the M90 (Before it goes over the bridge north).

Not broken down, just getting ready for tomorrow. They're closing the bridge to let the racing cars cross.

Impressive news that Aiden Moffat set the second quickest time in the afternoon test session (Aug 5th) at Snetterton. Colin Turkington was the only man to beat him.

I assume Shedden will get away with ramming Austin off the track like he usually does.
