Spoken like a true idiot. Firstly, the people of the region were writing long before the then inhabitants of these isles, secondly, they've inflicted casualties on US and Russian trained armies and taken ground off them.
You sound proud of them.

Sure. But I could equally easily link you to videos of fully armed Kurds who they've shot in battle. Armies are not full of intellectuals, and it doesn't take that much nous to fire a gun a kill someone.

I beg to differ. Most western armies have large numbers of intellectuals among their ranks. If you are referring to ME armies, yes, they are populated with mostly idiots. Sorry, simple fact.
As to past intellectual accomplishments of those you mention, well, they seemed to have bred that "infidelity"out over the centuries.

The Kurds are running around with AKs and RPGs firing at things, too, as are the Syrians, the FSA, Hezbollah and just about everyone else. Video here of the Kurds taking out an ISIS tank: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__Nc77Z0Sqs

Good shot, under a lot of pressure!
Erm, that footage is at least 6 months old. I believe it's the Syrian army hitting one of the FSA's tanks, nowhere near Kobani.

Therealfingers, lets be honest, what you are spouting is historical tosh, realise that the sandrats, ISIS, want you dead, your family dead and all you believe in dead.

You could have a chat with them about civalisation while they chop your mothers and childrens heads off or you could condem them for being evil murdering bds.

Don't try to pretend that these s are anything other than evil and they need to be rid of.

I'm very appreciative of their intellectual achievements. Remember, we're (or I'm) talking of the "people of the region". The rest is just history. ISIS are scumbags and perverts, but they're not generally brain dead or completely incompetent.

You'll be telling us that Japanese WW2 pilots were short sighted and couldn't balance next.

Not sure about the US, but I'd guess it has a fair proportion of Egyptian, Syrian, Libyan and Iraqi doctors. While some of them are infidels, I'd guess the majority are not.

Let me point out again that almost all (the Kurds have invited Christians to fight alongside them) the people actually taking casualties and fighting against ISIS are Muslims.

(I just spotted that one of the PYD's co-presidents is actually called Mr.Muslim!)

Maybe. There's other footage out there of a wire guided missile vs a tank: there are female soldiers present. The Syrian Army, AFAIK, has no women soldiers.

I wasn't talking of ISIS.

History is tosh? Explain.

For sure, the only conversation I'd want right now with ISIS would come out of the barrel of my weapon of choice, although I believe "we" will end up talking to them. The Israelis talk to Hamas, we've talked with the Taliban, etc.

You"ll never get a true 'settlement' until you are all inclusive in that region.

Can't read the link (link is fine, but I've reached my limit with the Telegraph).

In breaking news, though Turkey to let Iraqi Kurds reinforce Kobani as US airdrops arms. About bloody time!

Whether the two are connected and whether Turkey will let Turkish Kurds through is still open to doubt.

Doctors? I was speaking of armies, as did your post I responded to. Not sure of Japanese pilots' eyesight and even less sure of its relevance to this. Odd.

Goes to underestimating the opposition. There are thick and stupid Muslims, but there are also thick and stupid Christians, and thick and stupid atheists. etc.

And we are discussing those comprisisng ISIS. Most of them are idiots, all of them are Muslims. Does that mean anything? I never said it did; it is you that appears to be bending over backwards to defend Islam from being labeled as "thick".

And you are bending over forwards to insult people purely on the basis of religion:

Point out specifically where I insulted anyone on here based upon their religion. Some you are battling on here have done so, therefore I suggest you keep your (numerous) advesaries organized.

As for your second comment, they are proving me correct; again, regional, not religious.

You need to try a little harder.

For comparison, MIG 23 versus South African Air Force in Angola who were fling Mirage F1CZs - the SAAF training in those days was pretty good and there was a lot of collaboration/technology transfer between South African and Israeli forces.

Since we were talking of the Muslims of the ME, and you're referring to "infidelity", how else would you like that taken?
