Although I understand why they have and I would go out there and fight against ISID too if I had any balls, the above story just shows the double standards.

It is against UK law to go to a foreign country and get involved in a conflict but not only have these guys not being arrested they have been given police protection.

Its quite simple, ISIS are the bad guys, that's why the RAF are bombing them, anybody who fights against them is a good guy, until somebody decides that the good guys are the bad guys and it all changes, got that?

Technically there's a law which has never been seriously implemented (it wasn't in the Spanish Civil War, for example) I referred to it a few pages back. The Daesh folk are being stopped and sometimes arrested under anti-terrorist legislation.

If a lot of the prisoners taken in 2003/4 in Iraq were properly 'dealt' with, ISIS would not exist, or at least not in its current form. They must be pursued relentlessly and absolutely.

Well, IS are in trouble in Kobane and around Sinjar (where the Ezidi were trapped on the mountain). In Kobane they're loosing ground slowly (remember, it's a Stalingrad style situation, fighting is often room to room) to the point where they let the latest resupply convoy in without a squeak and imposed a news blackout to try and stop bad publicity. It is still a bit whack a mole, but the main mole holes have been blocked off. A retreat is unlikely (bad, bad, publicity) but as they starve and freeze I'd expect to see some white flags soon.
