Is there any way we can choose what size we want photos displayed at in forum posts, and if not, why not?

I ask because I have a prediliction for ogling stunning build threads in Readers' Cars, but it's extremely time-consuming and quite needless to keep opening images separately because I want to see a bit more detail. I'm sure I'm not the only one on a resolution (1920x1080 in my case) large enough that the standard photo display size is only half of what it could be.

I appreciate not everyone wants huge images, but that's why I think it should be selectable. It would produce no extra server load as images are loaded at full size anyway, and only cut down when complete.

I believe there is no way to change it. I believe it is to stop people spamming with huge images all the time.

I think it's fine how it is, but that's just me smile

I think it depends what resolution you're using and what sort of viewing you do, but naturally making it selectable would mean no downside for those who are happy as it is - and since photos are loaded in full anyway, no extra server/connection load for those who want to view larger?

Seemed like a nice improvement to make.
