Parking at BHX
Discussion
Just had a look but can't see car park 7 anywhere.
However, I've stayed in the one called Car Park 5, which is adjacent to the apron, and only a few minutes walk from the terminal. Is this what you meant?
If so, it is a literal short walk to the terminal, short enough to render the shuttle buses redundant in my view. I wouldn't pay more to park any closer unless I had mobility issues.

I prefer using car parks 2 and 3 for convenience, even over car park 1. Got a significant discount booking in advance using a third party website - I used Holiday Extras but that was over a year ago and these things change so don't rely on that. I was only away for a long weekend so if you're going for a week or more, it might be prohibitively expensive to stay there compared to long stay parking.
ETA: I've just found the parking map on the BHX website and realised where CP7 is. Don't bother with that - it's a long way from the terminal and impossible to get to without a shuttle bus or taxi. CP5 is walkable if you are so inclined. Not sure why they don't use the car park numbers on the numbered markers on this map!

So, 2/3 are the way to go then. I might be arriving late at night and the last thing I will want is a hike / to wait for the bus.ETA: I've just found the parking map on the BHX website and realised where CP7 is. 5 isn't a hike, unless you're the type of person who'll use the car to go 100 years, then it is . It's 5 minutes from the airport door. I like a bit of a walk after a flight, helps clear the travel fug a bit.WinstonWolf said:
1 is very convenient if it's cold/wet and late. It's also covered...
It's a shorter walk from 2/3 to the terminal building, they're also multi-storey so covered, and there's less uncovered external distance if it's raining. Plus they're usually a couple of pounds cheaper. CP1's main convenience is that you don't have to go past the pick-up/drop-off dawdlers to get to it when you arrive to park.Jobbo said:
