I'd use my 4.6 chim as a daily if I could.
since I've prepared it for sale sorting out all the little niggles I love driving it.
Super reliable and better than my 4.0 LPG Disco on fuel.
As long as you don't have to leave it parked in London or similar then go for it!

I used an S2 and then a V8S both as daily drives with commutes of about 18 miles per day,No problems with either ie no breakdowns.The S2 did have a relay switch burn out easy fix and lost a couple of days off the road.
Now have a Chimaera,circumstances have changed so don't need to use it as a daily but have covered just over 8k in 13 months again without any breakdowns.
Would have no worries using it everyday if I needed to but would prefer the commute to be at least an 8-10 mile journey so it has a chance to warm up properly.

Thought was very low being a daily..Although I absolutely love the TVR range of cars and have covered many miles over the 3 cars without ever calling for roadside assistance,i personally would not run one at that mileage.
With service intervals at 6k average price of £500-£600 a time and your fuel running costs would be around £9,000 a year
As said I love them to bits but i couldn't justify those running costs... Neither could I afford them.
I've never run my S as a daily - it replaced an MX-5 that was a daily, but I have a barge to drive day to day.
Ventilation in the S isn't great, the heater is pretty good, but the dash vents are only fed by pipes through the nose, so if you are in a jam on a hot day you absolutely boil. If you get a decent one it won't leak, but many do. There's the worry of the chassis rotting out if you drive too much when it's wet or there's salt on the road. It all depends if you can afford days off the road when the inevitable happens. Mine has been pretty reliable, but when something has gone wrong it's taken a bit of research, time to order parts, and then time to get the job done - no good if you are busy with work. For the record, over 2 years and 3000 miles, I have had a clutch pipe split, starter fail, and a relay & socket burn out.
I would drive it more, but don't see the point in getting it out to crawl 8 miles through rushhour traffic...

Love the look of your 900 on your profile.. Closest I got to owning one was back in 1986 but a friend of my brothers who was into buying/selling cars pushed me the direction of an Audi GT coupe.
Can never fault the Audi route but for years after thought "What if"

Have been quite a few threads on daily drivers in the past. Many think the cars are all the better for it.

That second car is mine. I'm on 239k now so not quite 250k yet. However, about 15,000 miles ago it went to my friends at Power to become a 4.3. Which took a while (hence the shortage of miles this year) but has given my car a new heart, which now means 250k has ceased to be the target. Prior to this car, I had a Tuscan as my only car, before that a chim 5L and a 4 litre before that. Always my only car, so yes they can be a 'daily' driver. Rain, shine or indeed snow.
Use mine every day, it's my only car. Managed to fit my mountain bike inside it the other day Starts every morning, can fit a weekly shop from Tescos in it, none of the neighbours have moaned about me leaving at 5am for work every morning, the only 2 breakdowns that I have had have been through my own utter stupidity and could have been easily avoided, costs loads less to run in petrol and consumables than my previous Audi S4.

Whilst I know of a few Chims used as daily drives, these are mostly low or average mileage, not 34K a year. For that I'd honestly get a boring, comfy, economical diesel, and save a tvr for those in between days, those special days that have you looking forward to them.
I'm short, loved the vx220 to drive but even I found it a pain to get in and out of.
