My CSR lives in a garage with no power. I take out the kill switch (FIA key) when I park up. This completely disconnects the battery. I just turn the key back on when I want to drive it - no problems at all.

Same detail here - Park - Immobiliser on - Cut Off key Removed - Replace Key - Re-set Immobiliser (4 presses of the fob) - Start and off!

The battery can lose the ability to start the car if it is left for as little as 2 weeks if yiu don't isolate the battery or plug it into a conditioner.

I have a car that I hardly use, battery dead every time I get in it. - I bought a solar panelled trickle charger from Maplin - its about A3 size and I just sit it on the windscreen, it was only about £20 so I take the chance of it getting nicked as my car sits on the drive. - It comes with a long lead so you could run it under a door if garaged.

It has solved my problem without any large expense or its a good temporary fix smile

Forgot to mention it plugs into your cigarette lighter - thats if you have an optional 12v socket. !

Get one of these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-CTEK-XS-0-8-12V-Moto...

Plug it in whenever you leave the car in the garage and it will condition your battery perfectly. Banner batteries in Caterhams are very prone to short service life if not regualarly used/charged.
