We've done the Concours of Elegance since it was first held (2012) and it's been great both years. You'll get at least 60 rare, unique or otherwise significant vehicles in the main concours, plus whoever decides to pay to exhibit their car outside the main area. It's also well-priced compared to similar events and hopefully the atmosphere will be slightly nicer than last year because it's not in central London this year.

Went to both last year - had a great time at both - fantastic cars at each event and no kids to get in the way when taking photos of cars that you will probably never see again. Going to both again this year. All I will say is that I got my moneys worth at Salon Prive wink
Don't drive and enjoy the hospitality!!

I was wondering the same question although I'm very tempted by the hospitality at salon prive to regain some of my entrance wink

My question is though will I look out of place with a decent sized camera and it's associated bag? Or should I just leave it at home and enjoy the cars and the alcohol?

I wouldn't worry about looking out of place - you will find lots and lots people taking cameras / photos.

Good to hear. Think I've convinced my friend to join me and just over an hour on the train. Looking forward to it as long as the weather plays nice.

Only a few dozen cars at each event (compared with thousands at something like the Silverstone Classic). They are more social events than car events. Hobnobbing with ya-yas and trophywife / mistress hunting. Both great fun.

I also get the impression it's a thinly-disguised meat market (wealthy middle-aged men being the prey, that is).

Should I brush-up on my Russian beforehand?

Went to Salon today - will post some pics later.

It was a great event, as always - if you like La Ferraris you'll be happy, there were three!

Also a great spread of modern and classic machinery.

P1 and F1 GTR were the highlights for me, but a line-up of 275s and D-Types were also great to see.

Good pics.

The Zagato Lambo gets to 60 in ~3secs. But it is an absolute eyesore.

Pretty black Fezza in the last photo.

Looked pretty quiet.

Many Moscow mules or was it fairly blokey?

I was at Hampton Court today and thought it was great, with probably the best variety of cars I've seen, dating from 1896 to 2014. It was also nicely spread out, unlike last year, so it wasn't too crowded, but I was disappointed that they decided to do away with the motorsickles.
