Things that put you off even reading a car ad?
Discussion
It may have being mentioned already.. But ads saying the coat of upgrades and trying to justify a higher price as a result of these upgrades e.g. alloys costing 1000 or new coilovers costing 600
Also anything to do with lowerimg/xenon (commonly spelt wrong) or any other mods obviously done with eBay kits

I was just looking through AT yet again, and it occurred to me that all of the cars I saw that said "ONE OF A KIND!!" or "REAL HEAD TURNER" I don't even look at. This is based on past experience to be honest.
What is it for you? What makes you think "Not even going to look...."? Or is it just me? :P
I just did a quick search for a 6 series on AT and the first two ads came up "Best value 630 sport in the country" and "Real head turner". Both trader ads too. What is it for you? What makes you think "Not even going to look...."? Or is it just me? :P

etc etc
This x100etc etc
It could be my perfect spec at half retail price but the knobber will not be getting a penny from me for this display of moronics ....
The reason being is searching - they put other cars in the advert title because it widens the search results.
For example - if you were to search for a Legacy, and they're selling an Impreza, then their advert would appear in your search results. The title would be something like;
Impreza WRX, (not Legacy, Forester, BRZ)
I think i'm making sense here haha.
It's a pretty poor show....

All of the above definitely but one that hasn't been mentioned that really grates me is when a seller, usually a trader, lists every single feature on the car (which comes as standard) in the advert to make it look like it's packed with extras/well equipped.
Ie. colour coded bumpers,
Colour coded adjustable door mirrors,
Front head restraints,
Rear 3 point safety belts,
Etc.
It may be a nominal thing but it does put me off reading any further when the seller is just padding an advert out with a list of standard features to make it look better than it is.

Alloys (often badly) painted black.
The best ones are when it's clearly been sprayed on with no prep work and is chipping all around the edge. Typically this doesn't seem to affect the price of the car though?!
Having been recently browsing for a 320d: any car where the owner has put an //M badge on it. Even the 'Sport' spec BMWs had no exterior badges, so their presence immediately makes me believe the car has been owned by a bloody idiot. Many out there even have the badge within the kidney grilles, which looks really st.
