This - every professional painter I have ever come across uses it and will not use anything else.

Red devil is by far the easiest IMO for small holes etc.

Any filler will do the job and sand back very easily.

It's what they're designed for and they are all much of a muchness.

I've got a tub of ready mix joint cement, about £20 for 12 litres from B&Q. Water soluble, easily sanded once it's dry then easy to paint when it's properly gone off :-)

Did you find the make of that filler with the tiny shiny particles in it when it was dry (light grey when wet).
I also now need to buy some and don't know what it's called. Really easy to sand.

They sell it in B&Q cheaper than you will get it from a merchant, however, if there is a new build house site close by go on site and ask where the tape/jointer is working and he might sell you a bag cheap (will either be easifill or equivelant)

Easi-Fill but it's very dusty so get yourself one of these... best £25 I've ever spent!
