What ho chaps, and Loon I guess, as he'll be best placed to answer.

I was glancing through a "Hitchcocks Motorcycles" catalogue that came free with a magazine a while back.

I noticed they do a kit to convert a later Indian Enfield bike back to drum brakes !

My first thought was why would you want to do that, but then what would your insurance have to say should you ever need to make a claim and your bike was inspected ?

I'm not the loon, but I'd guess you'd mention this under modification, like you would with engine mods.

I'm guessing the change is for looks. A disc brake can look out of place on a older design of bike. Or maybe the calipers are of a bad design / hard to get parts for.

I've had / got a few cars and bikes with drums and don't mind them. I probably don't drive hard enough to notice.

Ps apart from changing shoes, it's one of the few jobs I get someone else to do. Springs and me don't get on.
