So I be done a retrofit to xenon on my e90 and all works but the passenger sidelights go off after
A minute Or so.. Must be a wire wrong somewhere but I've spent days checking it and can't see where I gone wrong as they go off to a ecu that controls the lights
So thinking of Just wiring a new 12v feed where's best place to pick it up from?
Thanks
Chris

Check the bulb rating in the sidelight! The lamp ecu includes over current/over temperature protection that is designed to prevent shorted wiring or a too large a bulb wattage from causing permanent damage. In this case, the fact it takes about 1min to switch off suggests it's an "overtemperature" shut down on that channel in the control unit (ie the wiring to that lamp or the bulb is drawing too much current, but not enough to result in a dead short (which would result in an immediate shut down) and the driver chip in the controller is slowly overheating, and then shutting down the output to protect itself!

Makes sense! But wouldn't the drivers side also so that maybe I house swap them to see if the drivers goes out then and passenger stays on the opposite to what is happening now
