The glass is actually Ford Corsair IIRC - has a Ford Crossflow engine, spaceframe chassis and currently lives in a motor museum in Wales, though I can't recall where exactly.

is it just me or does it look very similar to a Lotus Eclat, though being built in the sixties it precedes the Eclat by quite a few years!

Googling the registration plate gives the answer.

I'd never have known otherwise.

Went to that museum last week and recognised it straight away. http://www.llangollenmotormuseum.co.uk/ I live about 20 miles away.

As soon as I saw the photo I thought it was a modified Corsair Estate.
