Hallelujah indeed!
After 10 years my daughters autism has been cured.
I know some of you may be skeptical but I really feel the need to rejoice !!
The specialists letter came in the post today, from Wolverhampton, outlining the changes in her condition and that she no longer needs the attention, guidance, supervision and watching over that she needed before. Hurrah!!
I am at a bit of a loss as how they have managed this, as they have never seen her, but hey it's a winner...
And they are SO certain that they say we don't need to ask any more questions and that they themselves will "double stamp" this miracle, in the interest of saving us money.
So there you go, a modern day miracle, the Pen is indeed mighty.

ah, the diagnosis fallacy writ large
also 'sanctioned' or change in benefits on renewal ?
the DWP do not attempt to challenge diagnosis. is this following a paperwork re-evaluation or a face to face ( which i was under the impression wasn't coming in for under 16s )
DLA was time limited before the main difference with the new regime and PIP for adults is the face to face assessment.
the sooner people get that DLA /PIP is not about diagnosis but about activities of daily living etc. into their heads the better, but in the world of the 'bedroom tax' what hope do we have ...
