So who's going?

I'll be there Wednesday - Monday so will see all 4 days of the show. It will be my last airshow working as part of the RAF so hopefully the weathers nice for us.

I've found on another forum the display list and timings for those that are interested. And for anyone who hasn't been before I highly reccomend it. A great free airshow.

Hopefully going on Friday. Will arrive very early and cook breakfast on the beach. Watch the air displays including the night displays getting dinner from one of the vendors (Gorgeous wood fire cooked pizza last year). Then home avoiding the crowds and avoid the traffic. Will cycle with my daughter to the end of Bournemouth airport runway on Saturday to watch the Lancasters take off.

It gets busy. The local press said 500,000 went on the Saturday last year. Halfway between the piers is best as some people are not willing to walk. I've always gone to the beach as I have a young daughter and the beach provides extra entertainment. It is said that on top of cliffs has a great view as you are at eye level with the aircraft.
Do get there early and make a day of it. There is plenty to do. Enjoy the day.

I always watch it from the location of the old imax (but I'm working) my sister and brother in law with the kids go on the beach close to bournemouth pier that way my brother in law can dig his usual 4ft hole to put the kids in laugh

My parents and grandparent always go on to the cliff you'll be further back from the display but slightly higher.

There's so much to see and do along the sea front and winter gardens that I'd say it's better to just walk along and stop each time there's a display.

We're staying at the Langtry Manor in East Cliff. We arrive late Friday Afternoon and stay until Sunday. Just hope the weather stays reasonable so the displays can go ahead OK.

Miss Demeanor has just flown over our house as it came into land at Bournemouth airport. Everyone in our house ran out to see it. Great sight even in the miserable weather.

I try and done day on the overcliff drive so you have the height and one day on the beach so you have the sand and are a bit nearer. Still recon its one of the best airshow locations. Just wish they could get a few newer jets to mix it up a bit from previous years. That said most newer jets F16, Rafelle, mig, Harrier are usually not privately owned or available I guess.

Where would be the best place to park on Saturday?
The web site gives the park and ride options at either The Littledown centre or Redhill Park.
Anywhere else better?

get there early and get as close to the overcliff as possible, local knowledge of backroads helps massively then walk there rest.

Bournemouth is free shoreham is not. A lot of the aircraft display at one then transit along the coast to the other.

I can normally park near Boscombe Gardens for free, if I get there early enough (cannot remember the name of the road).

Boscome end is quietest but more going on at the Bournemouth pier end.

Just read the Vulcan email and note that sunday is reserved it she cannot display on Saturday. The weather is looking cloudy but hopefully ok
