Slave cylinder GM vs Aftermarket
Discussion
Thanks chaps,
I will patiently sit and wait to hear
Ps. One of the links about clutch and slave mentioned drilling mod to the hydraulic pipe between the slave and the master cylinder, but I am guessing it has not been backed by any testing on this forum? Not that I need it. New LS7 bites well and does not suffer from "pedal in the floor" syndrome.

Dont think the ls7 wont suffer from "Pedal to the floor" syndrome it was an LS7 clutch I had to have replaced a few weeks back, I know it was an issue with the master not the clutch kit as such and unfortunately the LS7 wont make any difference if the master or slave goes pop
Glad to see your back on the road though.

Hi BBB had you had any symptoms of an intermittent slight hard pedal before it failed completely?Glad to see your back on the road though.

Not a thing Mick, leading up to it failing it drove as normal, no pedal sticking like it did before I had the LS7 and when the oem one went back in 2012 it would get so far up the rev range then disengage and just redline.I drove to golf on the sunday without any issues at all but when I came back to the car to pull the car forward to load clubs into the boot I pushed the pedal to the floor to fire it up and it stayed flat, even flicking it back with my toe did not engage the clutch.
BBB, the car is still sitting on the driveway waiting for me to find time to investigate. I mentioned recent installation of LS7 as I had installed when putting the new engine in. That seemed to have cured the "fluid boiling / clutch sticking to the floor" problem.
I read somewhere (admittedly US site) that drilling out a bottleneck on both side of the hydraulic pipe from master to slave cylinder helps inrease fluid flow and thus providing a remedy.

ok cheers BBB ever since I have owned the car 3.5 years 34k miles I get a slightly harder clutch peddle once or twice on a journey, it just feels slightly harder than normal, as soon as you push it down it's fine after that, if I was to drive down the motorway for say 30 miles without changing gear, the first time I push the pedal it will feel like there is more resistance, but after that it will be fine, very odd but always had it.I drove to golf on the sunday without any issues at all but when I came back to the car to pull the car forward to load clubs into the boot I pushed the pedal to the floor to fire it up and it stayed flat, even flicking it back with my toe did not engage the clutch.
