Black Sikaflex, only stuff to use IMHO available at all good auto factors.

Silicone = definate no

Sikaflex = maybe for bonded screens

You should be using a non setting sealant on an "old fashioned" held in by the rubber type screen, imho.

I have used this with 100% success on my Taimar front and rear screens .... clicky

yes

Even if it was a bonded application, there are decontaminating/substrate neutralising pastes, activators and primers (where appropriate) which are essential to creating a lasting bond.

Just an experience which may help.
Friend of mine had leaking Vixen window.
Carglass helped him with "butylene-x kit van den Braven".

The best way to seal such a windscreen is to remove it, clean all parts and then seal glass-to-rubber and rubber-to-body.

Prolly best for a profeshonul, but you'll need help fining a competent one (let me know where you are and I'll see who's around you).
