The amount of the pay out is irrelevant, it's the fact that it was the most stupidly orchestrated fraud ever that did for him. Vizsla said:

Most big Insurers would be very happy to pay this claim if it had been valid, they have budgeted for claims when setting their premiums so expect to receive claims and would want to pay valid claims as it makes good business sense.
