It makes my heart beat faster and cause palpitations.

Crisp eaters who have their mouths open, people who eat so fast they have to slurp it up.

I want to fking kill all of you. Were you dragged up by a pack of wolves.

Urgh thats even more disgusting.

My mother feels the need to stir her dinner. No matter what she is eating. It could be a tin of fking beans and she would still stir it.

It makes my hair stand on end.

Slurping drinks drives me insane.

Also people who peel an orange whilst in the vicinity of others eating a meal - filthy.

Oh and anyone who slurps a wrap as opposed to bite it down in manageable pieces........argggg

^^^^ THIS!!

MY BROTHER! He's 48. FFS!
It drives me mad when I'm around him....tea, coffee, beer, water, wine....all slurped.
"If it's hot, let it cool down.
If it's cold, why the fk are you slurping it?!
Open your mouth and drink it properly. Don't fking vacuum it up! It's really not difficult. My children have managed it from the age of 4. You're forty fking eight!"
furious
punch

He didn't think much of me telling him that on a recent trip together, but after 3 days it pushed me over the edge.

It's no wonder he's still single. He really does need help with etiquette and manners, but he can't see it. Shame.

hehe

The wife is very concious with eating around me.

I usually snap with, "That sounds nice" when she is eating.

There was a thread about this in the 'Health Matters' section about 6-12 months ago.

My GF has a similar hatred towards 'noisey' eaters, to the extent that she becomes very agitated and annoyed. She likens it to annoying tapping or nails on a chalkboard; it drives her mad.

She actually had to speak to her boss at work, it was becoming so bad. Being locked in an office with people that eat at their desk and with their mouths open was more than she could bear.

I occasionally get a glare when I subconsciously eat with my mouth open... paperbag

I'm normally fine with my headphones turned up to 11 but I haven't got them with me today.

I went to a boarding school in Ireland, where it is customary (or it was at the time) for the other boys at my table to get a mouthful of food, chew it a bit, then take a big slug of tea and swallow it all down at once.

It was not a habit I approved of.

bit of English understatement there

If you don't like people eating with their mouths open, and making noise, then don't work with Chinese folks. They hold their bowl up to the mouth, and just shovel in the rice or noodles or whatever. Chewing noisily and constantly. I have to find somewhere else to go until they've finished.

My pet hate is people who've never been taught how to hold a knife and fork. The worst is when they're held like shovels, with the entire fist gripping the cutlery like they trying to escape. Animals. No manners, no idea of etiquette. Don't care less.

This and people that lick their knife, and the ones who whistle through their nose. Sounds like a kettle is boiling in their mouth somewhere.

I've had to tell someone in a restaurant to chew with their mouth closed, the sound of lips smacking while eating drives me mental.

My dad is a bit of a slob when it comes to eating, it's like it is gong to be his last meal; it was mentioned at his retirement do when a close friend gave a speech, my mum was mortified and said "I thought he only ate like that at home!?"

We have a guy at work who's a messy eater, he gets all his food round his chops and down his front, talks loudly and whenn eating and likes to eat with his mouth open, the funny thing is he's a bit of a brown noser so quite often he'll plonk himslf in the managers office and eat his lunch there whilst righting the wrongs of the company to my completely disinterested manager.
