It appears not many tickets are sold for this fixture next week.

Is anyone going from PH ?

Also does anyone have a link for the potential squad on that evening ?

Cheers !

I love Norway and would be genuinely happy if they win. It'd mean more to them than our shower. smile

That's a fair comment.

The World cup was a total joke and hopefully they will put on a better performance - let's face it they could not be worse !

Our group includes some young children who are on their first visit to Wembley so hopefully they will enjoy it.

I wonder which of the over paid slobs we call England footballers pull out of the squad first. I for one would not cross the street to watch them.

Apparently it's the start of a new era, with prized donkey or is it ass Rooney taking over as captain at least they have someone to snarl at the booing fans which one of my overriding memories of modern football and a great example for the youngsters of today to follow.

So a late, mid-week fixture, on the day when most/many schools go back. Clever timing.

And this is my ONE pet hate with these games. They are NEVER on an afternoon, so kids can get there easily.

Certainly not planned for the convenience of the fans.

Well, it is; but mainly for those sat watching it on the TV.

I agree completely though, but sadly there is more money to be made from TV rights than ticket sales.

I understand why these matches take place at evenings rather than weekends BUT if had been played this week they could have filled Wembley with excited kids.

Yes, sadly TV runs football and the fans who go to games are low on the list. It is a shame that England don't play at other grounds round the country but they have to pay for Wembley somehow.

It's not just the cost of the tickets. Most fans will also need to travel by train and will possibly want at least a pie & pint before and/or after the game.

Not exactly a working man's sport these days.
