Car has been sitting for about 5 months, battery flat so jump started to get going. dash is full of error messages such as

Emission System faulty - contact dealer
DSC Error - contact dealer
Crash Mode - contact dealer
Orange engine line constantly on

is this a common scenario after a long term battery drain?

Mine went mental last week for no reason what so ever. I unplugged the battery, put it back on after 10 mins and she was as happy as ever. In fact, somehow seems to feel better.....

Sounds like your battery's gubbed smile

I think those readings are too low. When running I'm sure you should seeing 14V give or take.

astons don't like dead batteries. Did you have it hooked up to a trickle charger? Good insurance against further issues.

The plot thickens!!

Car now won't start at all 14.1volts on battery, but orange engine light constantly on, engine start button does nothing. Has the car locked down in some sort of ECU safe mode?

Ay clues folks???

May well be a poor/corroded earth strap.

Update

New battery - all warning messages now cleared & car starting fine.

One strange thing, The MIL stays on an Duthie engine start light wont go red unless I press the boot BDS switch. Anything need reset?
