Not sure why the OP is getting so much grief.
He made a mistake, I'm sure we've all done it.
Seller states returns accepted, buyer wants to return item but now seller is not accepting returns.

OP looks on Ebay. Looks at advert Advert says callipers. Pictures show callipers?

Unless there are carriers in the picture too, The OP has bought what The OP has paid for.

The fact there was any doubt over the associated bracketry should have resulted in the OP either raising the question prior to purchase OR at the very latest in the comments/questions part of the payment box of the paypal transaction.

Post up the original Ebay advert OP, as this will either prove your a mug or take alot of the heat off you.

I agree. I think they are just enjoying themselves jumping on the bandwagon to have an anonymous go at someone whilst pretending they themselves have never made a mistake.

OP eBay in this instance will not have sided with the seller he's bullstting you, just open a case with eBay and from my experience they will make life difficult for the seller until he accepts the return.

I imagine the '14 day return' policy actually means 14 days warranty, or not as described or is faulty. It depends what terms the seller stuck on the 14 days return policy (which we don't know and can only guess).

In this case, it's a bit like buying a mop handle, and then complaining that there is no mop attached to the handle.

If it was me - I'd ask if I could return it because I'd not read the listing properly. If no, then I'd sell it again, or buy the additional bits I need.

I wouldn't start a topic about it.

Put them back on Ebay, suck up any loss, learn from the experience, move on.

Teaches me a lot posting a thread in the lounge.
Thanks for the advice people who have gave worthwhile contributions. I'm just going to try and sell them on and if they don't sell suck up the loss.
After speaking to a couple of people who have the same car as me they have said alot of people have fell for buying calipers before understanding that the carrier comes with them as a whole unit but only the caliper has turned up.

Seems the seller doesn't want to play ball and I can't do with the hassle.

I wouldn't bother getting into any discussion. Just follow the process & you'll get refund..

What particular car are they for, I wouldnt expect to get carriers with calipers. If you went to a motor factors or even a franhise parts dept for calipers they dont normally come with carriers, in fact on some VWs the carriers are part of the hub carrier/steering knuckle.

Thank f**k I don't have to use Ebay, the tales I read on here astound me.
I really hope that Ebay don't get involved and force a refund.
You obviously cannot read either as the OP says that the listing said they would accept returns within 14 days and then refund.
But the OP has not posted the listing.

We haven't seen the terms.
I have a retail store and I am amazed at the amount of people who wander in and say "I bought this and have changed my mind, just whack it back on my card."
Err, no.

Stores have no obligation to take items back when said items are bought in person.
Distance selling is another matter.
