It's all fixed, but everyone loves to hate X-Factor.

People keep watching as they like to see how bad it is. biggrin

Louis and Cheryl surely can't be back next year, as they could not make their own decisions.

Felt a bit sorry for Louis - thats why you never cave in to the audience.

The 'new Boy Band' were quite good - good song selection.

I take it you mean the one with 8 in it ?

I wondered how long it would take before one of them banged his chest with his right arm.........the first knob 'ead done it within 5 seconds of singing hehe

Sounds cruel, but I kind of hope one day some rejected teenager hangs themselves, and that'll be the end of this dreadful show, just like the death of the Lush fellow did for that Noel Edmonds tripe years ago.

Of course I don't want some poor youngster to end it all, but if it happens, I will enjoy the ramifications that will certainly ensue.

For me, it sums up everything that's wrong with tv in general and reality tv in particular.

We could just drop a hint to ISIS that Cowell blasphemes constantly about Allah and Mohammed the Prophet. IMO the world would be a better place etc......

So, I haven't seen any of this years X Factor, but caught an advert for it this evening, my youngest remarked that one of Cheryl's girls looked like the girl from The Luminites who nearly won BGT last year. A bit of Googling confirms this, Steph Nala.

Well, no matter how much I complain and predict who will go through and indeed who will be the "shock wild cards", I still watch the poxy show.

Yeah she was upfront about it from the start.

Has anyone else downloaded the free app?

I'm going to bang all 5 'free' votes on Stevie each week. Entertaining enough for me to want to vote for him and seems like a nice enough bloke.

AND, for as long as it annoys Louis (who gave us Jedward) I'm happy for him to stay in!!! smile

Agreed on the 'record' idea, although my other half keeps saying 'I've taped it' lol, showing her age there.

Still watch it, though I am not sure why. But generally there isn't anything better on.

Surprised no one mentioned Fleur's performance last night, she knocked that out of the park. And those hotpants!

Not really a fan of Fleurs style of singing but her performance certainly seemed very professional.

I saw the lad on the sing off last night, how did he get through over the young girl???

I would rather eat my own feet than listen to him...simon was right he over sung it.

and of the other bits I've seen this year the vocals have soundede terrible on TV, I'm left wondering if the live sound is better but some of the performances have been terrible and you can hear the pitch shifter working overtime...

Looking at Cheryl last night she looked like she was on the verge of a breakdown, thankfully she forgot to get dressed again and as for Mel B, she is just vile imho.

I'll stick with strictly I think...

Overall Andrea is a much better singer than the girl and deserved to get through. He does over sing certain songs but his voice is very very good.

Lauren has improved each week and her vocals have improved but is very dull.

Who ever wins this will get 1 album, fall from grace and then disappear.

Fleur really has to win. She can sing and dance to a very high standard.

Her second number on Saturday was very tight and after only a days recuperation apparently.

I doubt she'll be a one album and disappear act, winner or otherwise. (Two albums at least!) biggrin

I think she was good at the start for the first few weeks but then deteriorated, I did wonder if her voice could cope with being worked so hard as it often has pitch and cracking issues, whereas during the first few weeks I didn't notice that.

I do question if the TV sound is different to that in the studio though.

You have to wonder if anybody out there ACTUALLY watches this show from start to finish, because if there is, they must be one hell of a sucker for punishment.

I used to watch the XF every year, but thank god for my Humax recorder, otherwise I wouldn't go near it now. This years show has to be one the worst, if not THE worst, ever.

It's SO contrived, and is now such a dead duck I'm sure Simon must be considering pulling it.

Louis says the same things over and over, they might as well put a tape player on his seat.

Mel speaks like she's been down't pit all day.

Cheryl looks like she can't wait not to come back next year.

And Simon has become a parody of himself. Gary Barlow seemed to be better IMO.
