New Clutch on Peugeot 406 HDI 53 plate.

Just a quick question, need to get the clutch replaced on my 406.
My father would usually sort it (quite handy with the tools, sent more time drinking in my youth than in the garage with my dad unfortunately so I possess none of the skills) but he's away for the next few weeks and I need to get it done.

Anybody able to give me a rough idea on what sort of costs I should be looking at (not going to a dealer) before I start ringing around.

Its a sub frame off job,a lot of labour.This model will have a DMF so it will need replacing as well as the clutch.Your best bet is to find a small independent Peugeot specialist,expect a quote of around £1000 for a DMF,clutch kit,labour and VAT.
