which "box" controls the door and boot release buttons, and the alarm.

I've an issue presented while being trimmed, (rather the trimmer has) in that the external buttons don't want to work, but the interior ones do. the boot will work if the doors are open,

either something has become disconnected and the alarm/immobiliser isn't permitting the door buttons and boot button to operate, or a relay box is at fault somewhere with a dislodged wire

can anyone point me to the location of the correct boxes so i know which connections to advise him to check first.
He has tried disconnecting battery, resetting the alarm with the little fob thing, but so far were puzzled.

The boot solenoid & the passenger door are controlled by the controller in the PS footwell. Drivers side is err on the drivers side usually with enough velcro stuck to it holding it to the dash ECU you need dynamite to remove it!

A virtual £10 says the external door/boot release override button is stuck in, having had the centre dash section out to trim it. Thats the little button on the LHS of the radio where you find the window up/down & door release

took it all apart, put it back together, all works now, no idea why it didnt in the first place, but think the stuck button is most likely culprit.

thank you for the pointers!
