Anyone flew Malaysian lately?

Just saw on the news re: MA cutting 6k jobs and showing pictures of empty planes. Obviously very tragic what's gone happened in both recent events and unlucky for the business. Is what's being shown on the news accurate?

I've not flown with them recently but they offered full refunds to anyone flying with them shortly after MH17 was blown out of the sky by Putins pals. I guess quite a few took them up on the offer. Shame they're a bloody good airline with bloody nice staff.

not recently but colleagues have. i like flying malaysian, great staff [mostly fit, with great uniforms!] and they serve beer in economy before take off!

woudlnt have a problem using them but a quick search suggests they want about 650 to go from LHR to Kuala Lumpur whereas I can do same trip with KLM for 530.

I use them most weeks, and haven't noted any difference, from a passenger view point, I never use them to UK if I pay as KLM is cheaper and avoids Heathrow, interested in what the BBC say about cut backs on long haul, as I presume this means they will concentrate on domestic and regional, and they are under severe pressure in those markets from air asia
