Hi, I've just purchased my first Defender from The Man for Land Rovers yesterday. A 2006 Td5 90 with, hard to believe, one owner, 20k miles and a fully LR service history. I've added a few bits already (NAS step, mantec bar, Momo wheel, bonnet chequer plate, stainless bolt kit and had her Dinitroled for good measure. She actually belongs to my dog as she'll principally be used for shooting and stalking.

Looks nice, congratulations, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun in her.

Did Tune my Defender fit the parts and Dinitrol it for you?

very nice. I bought something similar about 6m ago, a 56 plate 90 Xs which had only done 7k miles. There are still some good ones out there, it just takes a while to find one...

I use mine as my daily drive, like stepping back in time and great fun up to about 50mph...

Anything over 75 mph feels slightly dangerous for me and watch out for high winds when on the motorway if at speed

I agree; 75mpg felt like I was max'ed out. A number of people have recommended Alive Tuning for a remap, any experiences?

Otherwise I love the beast.

Very nice. Miss my 50th anniversary when I see pictures like this. As for the speed issue I regularly sat on the limiter at 100 mph in mine. But the 50 had stiffer anti roll bars front and rear and never felt unstable at all.

The only issue I would have is driving in to a head wind which would hold you back considerably.
